EBRI Rita Levi-Montalcini Memorial Lecture

Established in 2013 by the European Brain Research Institute (EBRI), the “EBRI Rita Levi-Montalcini Lecture” commemorates the life and legacy of a woman whose outstanding scientific contributions have had a significant impact on the field of neurobiology and beyond. The Lecture is held annually and is delivered by the most distinguished neuroscientists.

2013 Lecture

The 2013 Levi-Montalcini Lecture was delivered by Nobel Laureate Aaron Ciechanover, Technion Distinguished Research Professor in Israel.

 

The Lecture was presented in the framework of a conference dedicated to Professor Levi-Montalcini, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy.

The conference, held on 22 April at the University of Rome “Sapienza”, was attended by the Rector of the University of Rome “Sapienza”, the Minister for Research and Education, the President of the Italian National Research Council, and internationally renowned scientists.
