The prof. Marco Feligioni obtained a grant for research on Alzheimer's disease, UK, entitled:
"Role of SUMOylation in the neuronal stability of Tau protein in relation with the degradation system".
The project aims to understand how the post-transduction modification made by the SUMO protein affects the degradation of the Tau protein, in cell models, in animal models and on autopsy human tissues. The project will last one year.
The grant includes a collaboration with Prof. (Tor Vergata) for the animal model Tau and with the of Abbiategrasso (MI) for auptotic tissues.
