In accordance with the Italian Government’s directives, aimed at curbing the spread of Sars-Cov-2, EBRI has suspended the presence of its researchers and staff within the Institute, allowing only access to essential staff. The rest of the team is working from home on various activities, such as analysis of the experimental data collected, planning experiments, writing scientific papers and research projects, participating in scientific briefings or meetings via videoconferences.
Hence, EBRI’s research activities continue to move forward, respecting the latest Government provisions and guidelines, and remain dedicated to pursuing studies on neurodegenerative diseases and the brain. In addition, during this emergency period EBRI is also dedicating its studies to COVID-19 and planning experimental activities to contribute to the biochemical and cellular characterization of the virus, so as to provide unique research tools for the scientific community and participate in the joint scientific effort that is taking place worldwide to tackle the pandemic.
EBRI also continues its scientific dissemination activities via its website and social network systems, also on the COVID-19, with the aim of providing reliable and accurate information, and commenting or providing input on scientific articles.
